Astrology as you've never seen it done before... Welcome to the website of Astrologer, Phoebe Forsythe. Some of you may already be familiar with my horoscopes and have read the columns I wrote in 2005-6, which were hosted on The London Project. Sadly, this website is no longer in operation. However, I have managed to save some of my old pages, which you can access by clicking on the link above. Many of you commented on how interesting you found the articles on the Astrology of London, so I have included them on my website. NEW! February Eclipse Overviews The first eclipse of 2008- an annular solar eclipse - will take place on the 7th of February and will be followed by a total lunar occultation on the 21st. For a sneak preview of what may lie in store, visit my AstroInsights home page, or click on Horoscopes on the top banner of this page to read further. NEW! Personalised Charts. I am also pleased to announce that I now offer one-on-one consultations, as well as a beautifully personalised Natal Birth Chart, as well as a number of Astro Reports, including yearly Solar Returns (what you can expect in the year ahead), Synastry (relationship charts) etc. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in purchasing one. It's a great way to start off the New Year, or your own personal Solar Year, on the right footing! Pricing and other details can be found here. Monthly horoscopes out and Astro-Headlines in In order to ensure that I don't produce shoddy horoscopes that are rushed and shallow, I have decided to put my monthly horoscopes on hold until September/October 2008 when I will have fewer commitments. In the meantime, I will continue to produce my in-depth eclipse predictions, as these are important six-monthly events that can indicate a time of transition and important growth. Look out for them in February and August by checking the Horoscopes (see top banner) page around those times. Eclipse Archives In the meantime, if you would like to think about whether you have finished learning all the lessons from the last eclipse, you can do so by visiting the Eclipse Horoscope Main page. From here you can also go back through the archives to see what themes were active for you during the last couple of years, starting in October 2005. For those who would like to put this eclipse series into perspective, you can read my Eclipse Chronology which dates back to April 2005. I hope you will find this a place of interest and information and that you will enjoy coming back to check your forecasts and read the articles posted here. My interests are certainly not confined to astrology and I’m sure yours aren’t either, so I hope to make this a space of investigation and musings too. Astrology-related articles For those of you who would like to read about astronomical phenomena that may have occurred in recent months, I have written articles about Eclipses and what they mean, the close orbit of Mars to the Earth in 2005 and sunspots, which really provides food for thought about the mysterious way in which astrology really works. Some musings on the Philosophy of Astrology You may wonder why I have decided to use the motto ‘As Above, So Below’. Many of you will be familiar with the mystical figure of Hermes Trismegistus and the mysterious body of writings that has come to be known as the Corpus Hermeticum, but for those of you who don’t know, it is an ancient hermetic expression linked to the ancient idea that everything in the Universe is connected - that all life on earth, including man and nature, which makes up the Microcosm, is simply a reflection of the Heavenly Macrocosm - the divine sphere where planets, angels and gods reside. Astrology is also about the two separate but interconnected worlds, the inner psychological world of thoughts & feelings, desires & fears; and the outer material world of events and things. Connecting everything is spirit, consciousness or soul energy. Or what the ancient Greek & Renaissance philosophers have called the Anima Mundi (Soul of the World.) Modern quantum physicists are now starting to confirm that this may indeed be how reality works - new ideas such as field theory appear to be bearing this out. Our bodies are not mere physical entities, but layers of energy, stretching up to ever-higher levels of consciousness. We are not merely human beings but eternal souls who participate and are constantly connected with divine forces which permeate the cosmos. In this way, Astrology can be seen to show us our connection to the hidden order of the Universe - to reveal or uncover the Web of energy that interconnects everything - something that Quantum physics is only just starting to discover. All of us are here for a specific reason - to learn particular lessons, make a contribution. share a unique gift or perspective - and each of us is a piece of the puzzle that makes up a larger picture or divine plan. In this way, Astrology can help us understand our place in the larger pattern or scheme of things, reveal our life or soul's chosen path and help put us back in a relationship with the bigger picture. Starting with the natal chart, Astrology can help us to understand ourselves and others better, and help us uncover our life purpose or areas we have chosen to grow in. 'Know Thyself' was the motto carved into the entrance of the Oracle at Delphi and self-gnosis is truly the path to growth, self-actualisation and wisdom. I would also like to extend warm thanks to the team who helped make this possible, including my wonderful graphic designer, Vicky Jacob-Ebbinghaus, without whose vision and creative eye these pages would look rather boring. And so, without any further ado, please enter and have a look around. Love and Light, Phoebe Forsythe
