"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every
purpose under the heaven; A time to be born, and a time to
die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck that which is
planted.”
Ecclesiastes (ch. III, v. 1-8)
Astrology is best used to ascertain the right time to do
things, as the quote above illustrates. It is most
empowering and effective when used as a tool to guide you
through the phases and natural cycles of your life, based on
your own unique astrological chart. However, seeing as I
don't have all your individual charts at my disposal, this
is the next best thing! I encourage all of you to find out
your personal planetary placings and then transpose the
insights in this guide onto your own chart, so you know how
things are likely to pan out for you, where in your life
certain influences are likely to be felt, and what days are
best to make the most of every occasion and opportunity.

Monthly
Overview
With the Sun entering fun-loving and adventurous
Sagittarius, it’s time to saddle up your pony and get out of
town, or out of whatever wintry mood or rut you might be in.
The Archer, favourite of the Gods, is the sign considered
most lucky. Archers also love to party, do energetic sports,
learn new things and broaden their horizons. Freedom is the
thing they value most, and this will come sharply into focus
two days later, when independent Uranus turns direct and
begins to make itself felt more dramatically and strongly in
the world. Intellectual pursuits, crazy fun and social
trends will be highlighted as the Moon waxes to Fullness in
fellow air sign, Gemini, on the same day. Expect the
unexpected and keep things light and upbeat at this time. A
few days later, on December the 1st, Mercury
moves into straight-talking Sagittarius and you may
experience a little bit of foot-in-mouth syndrome. Four days
later, the planet of Love glides in sexy Scorpio, setting
hearts aflutter and upping the relationship temperature by
several degrees, just in time for the start of the Festive
party season. The New Moon in Sagittarius on December the 9th
reintroduces the need for adventure and soul-food, so make
sure you choose stimulating company, or hop on a plane and
go somewhere new. Sag’s ruler, Jupiter makes a dramatic
conjunction with Pluto on the 11th of December –
a phenomenon that only occurs every 13 years, so be sure to
make use of this powerfully transformative energy. It’s
possible that you may begin a whole new chapter in your life
story at this time, so plan your New Year’s resolutions
early – they may begin to take shape from today! The second
half of the month is a little less hedonistic and a tad more
practical as Jupiter changes signs, moving into ambitious
but hard-working Capricorn. Saturn, ruler of Capricorn,
also slows down before beginning a period of retrograde
motion in detail-oriented and practical Virgo, marking a
period of review, particularly in relation to your finances.
SUN INTO SAGITTARIUS
Nov 22 – Dec 21
As Thanksgiving celebrations begin in the USA, the Sun
changes signs, entering expansive and enthusiastic
Sagittarius. This should shake you out of any broody fugs
you may have fallen into under intense Scorpio and get you
in the mood for a spot of socialising. Sagittarians love to
party and the solar mood right now may be infectious. Get up
off the sofa and into something sparkly – the party season
has begun! Sagittarius is also the sign of foreign travel –
perhaps you’re jetting off somewhere far way for Christmas
or heading off on a pilgrimage of some kind? If so, you may
begin to pack and get excited now. If not, you could meet an
interesting foreigner at one of these shindigs, so keep your
ears pricked for any sexy, exotic accents. This is also a
time when many students will be studying hard for exams or
writing end of term papers – if so, the Sun should give you
a boost by putting you in a philosophical frame of mind ands
helping you mentally tune into the Big Picture. Others may
simply enjoy the optimism and extra energy that this solar
month brings. Sun in Sag can also loosen people’s tongues a
little so be careful with your words – whilst a little truth
is never a bad thing, there is always the danger of becoming
a little tactless.
Those most likely to benefit from this energy are: Aries,
Leo, Sagittarius as well as Libra, Aquarius. Gemini’s will
either fall in love or fall out with somebody – there’s no
in-between!
URANUS TURNS DIRECT IN PISCES
24 Nov 2007
After nearly six months of back-tracking, the planet Uranus
now turns direct. Since the end of June, you‘ve had a chance
to think about how to live a more authentic life or make
some contribution to humanity. Now you may experience a
series of synchronistic events that help you to implement
your plans or make the necessary changes. Put them off, and
you may be in for a short, sharp shock – Uranus may find a
way to use circumstances or people to force the issue! This
is a time when you’re likely to want more independence or
express yourself in a unique or unusual way. It’s also
excellent energy for making alternative lifestyle choices,
detaching a little in order to see things from a different
perspective, or getting yourself out of a rut. You may also
encounter unusual or exciting people now or move into a
social crowd that better reflects who you are as a person.
Surprises and changes of plans are the order of the day, so
prepare yourself for the unexpected.
This energy is especially applicable for anyone who has a
planet or sensitive point in their chart
near 15° Pisces, Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius.
FULL MOON IN GEMINI
24 Nov 2007
Today there is also a full Moon in curious, light-hearted
and chatty Gemini. Occuring on the same day as Uranus turns
direct, things are likely to be erratic, lively and
unpredictable. As with any Full Moon, emotions are likely to
be running high. Use the Gemini energy now to express how
you feel and release any pent-up tension you may have,
especially if you feel that you have been prevented from
speaking with an authentic voice up or sharing your unique
opinions or insights until now. However, be on guard against
miscommunication or maybe even deception today. Thanks to
two negative aspects between the Moon, Saturn and Neptune,
your words may get a little garbled or come out in a harsh
way. So, it may be wise to hold back a little
communication-wise, or question the truth behind what
someone says, because with Uranus in the mix, the likelihood
of surprises or twists is always a possibility. Instead, use
this time to establish better communication with someone or
clear the air with someone you love. Full Moons are also a
time of culmination or endings, so you may now hear the
results of an exam or see your work get published for the
first time. It is also likely now that you may get an answer
to a question you have been pondering over for a while, or
hear from a friend you haven’t seen in ages.
This full Moon will most affect those born between November
22-26, February 20-23, May 22-25 and August 24-27.
VENUS in LIBRA TRINE NEPTUNE in AQUARIUS both TRINE MOON in
GEMINI
Exact
26 Nov 2007
Today is a great day for lovers, artists and poets. Venus,
planet of love and personal creativity, trines its higher
octave, the planet of Divine love and inspiration, Neptune,
making it a fabulous time for connecting with your Higher
Self, or a Divine Source for creative or divination
purposes. For those more earthly-inclined, this is also a
very romantic connection which conjures up dates right out
of a fairytale, and relationships that have a dreamy,
not-of-this-earth quality to them. For those who find
ethereal, almost telepathic connections with another person
a bit eerie or sickening, take heart: this aspect pattern
occurs in air signs, which should keep things quite perky,
light and intellectual, if that is your bag. Conversations
under this configuration should be easy, flowing and
interesting - think of it as a meeting of the minds if that
makes you feel less queasy! Both planets also trine the
Moon, Queen of the emotional realm, but from witty and
fun-loving Gemini, which should keep things light, humourous
and exciting. This is a great aspect for people wanting to
write a heartfelt letter to a loved one, or for any form of
inspired communications, especially poetry and music.
Signs most likely to be dancing cheek to cheek are: Libra,
Aquarius, Gemini, Sagittarius, Leo or Aries, as well as
anybody with points in their chart at 19-20 degrees of
Libra, Gemini or Aquarius.
SUN in SAGITTARIUS SQUARE SATURN in VIRGO
Exact
30 Nov 2007
Today Old Man Saturn may try to put the brakes on any
exuberant tendencies you might have as it makes a
challenging aspect to the Sun in mutable signs. Fortunately
the mutable signs are also the most adaptable, so be a
little bit flexible and you should get around the worst
effects of this difficult configuration. Saturn demands that
we work hard and give 110% at whatever we do – half-hearted
efforts are not acceptable – and this may be what is
required to keep you out of hot water with a superior or
parent at this time. Saturn is also a bit serious and
contemplative, a bit like the Hermit card in the Tarot, so
is great for seeking out the advice of a mentor or someone
older if you get yourself in a pinch. The wintry darkness of
his energy may well dim your ability to shine temporarily by
taking away your physical energy, so it might be a good idea
to conserve your energy by slowing down or withdrawing from
the world for a little while until you get your mojo back.
This may also be a time of heightened responsibility and
checking the details (Saturn is in Virgo after all!) – you’d
do well to heed the warnings or you could land yourself in a
bit of hot water, and those in authority are not going to
let you get off lightly. You have been warned!
Signs most affected by this square include: Sagittarius,
Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus, Gemini and Pisces.
