Thanks to a once-in-two year visit from Mars, currently
touring your sign, many
Geminis will feel as though they could take on the world.
However, you'll soon discover that scattering your
focus in too many directions will get you nowhere fast,
proving the point made by the hare and the tortoise about
less haste and more speed. However, Gemini is a dual sign,
and so working on two areas at
the same time is an entirely plausible scenario. The trick is to focus
on two different but complementary areas of interest to keep
the boredom levels down but the productivity levels up. Mars
will exit Gemini at the end of September, returning for a
brief spell in early 2008, so by all means,
make the most of the extra energy, assertiveness and
motivation from Mars, but be smart about it.
Mercury, your ruler, will be touring the sign of Virgo until
the 5th of September, which might make you feel sharp and
focused, but also wired and brimming with nervous tension.
Even though Mercury rules both Virgo and Gemini, both signs
share different elements, making them jar with each other
and not quite fit. Fortunately, that slightly edgy feeling
won't last much longer as Mercury change signs. Once it slides into airy Libra, you'll be back in
your natural element again, and be as charming, witty and creative as ever.
A lunar eclipse in Pisces on the 28th of August could see
you struggling to juggle the competing demands of career and
home, or family and work. This could be an emotional time
when you feel torn between wanting to spend time with loved
ones, putting down roots or moving house on the one hand,
and moving up the career ladder, on the other.
On this day, Mars and Jupiter form an opposition to each
other in the sky across your self-other axis, whilst Mercury
and Uranus are at loggerheads in Virgo and Pisces. Together
with the Full Moon, the scales will tip strongly in favour
of your home life. It seems you have some unfinished
business to sort out in relation to home, real estate, loved ones and
family matters that cannot wait. Ignore the warning signs at
your peril - a Mercury-Uranus opposition is volatile stuff
so attend to private matters before the wheels come off.
This matter may be as basic as putting down roots somewhere
new - you may be in the process of relocating to a new city or moving
house - and the simple truth is that you cannot afford
to let the paperwork ball drop or for a legal process to
lose momentum. In this situation, Maslow's
hierarchy of needs applies - you need to have a roof over
your head and somewhere to live before you can even think
about functioning as an achiever, so its a no-brainer:
Home first, Career second. However, you may want to watch
how you assert yourself in these matters - the Jupiter-Mars
aspect hints at possible over-confidence that could lead to
confrontations or accidents. Try not to be too forceful or
closed to what others have to say, and be really wary of
overextending yourself in terms of workload or on a physical
level as the planetary weather also points to possible
accidents or injuries if you are not careful.
If there is any sort of fall-out from bosses, clients or
business partners as a
result of your temporary priority-shift, use the 5th and
13th of September to get them back on side. On both days,
you'll have the charm and diplomacy of Libra working for you
which should help to calm troubled waters and smooth any
ruffled feathers.
Between these two dates is a solar eclipse in Virgo, during
which time a past matter relating to the same area of life
may resurface, calling for adjustments or a resolution of
some kind. This could be anything from problems involving a house you sold some time ago, to a
recurring health or emotional issue with a family member, especially a parent.
The new moon should help to move things forward at this
time, though not without some emotional turbulence, thanks
to some difficult angles between the Moon, Mars and Uranus.
This could get backs up, tempers flaring or cause an
unexpected hitch, possibly concerning finances. However, the Moon moves quickly, so these
things should clear up pretty soon, as long as you remain
focused and proactive. Try to keep calm and don't
do anything to upset females if you can, especially loved
ones.
Something else worth noting is the move by Saturn from Leo
into Virgo on the 3rd. Saturn is the planet of limitation,
duty, discipline and karma but also of manifestation,
authority and dignity. Hosting this planet in this same area
of life (home and family) that has been the focus of the
eclipses can be a mixed blessing. On the one hand, it could mean a powerful male ally,
the possibility of forming a
tangible and lasting platform upon which to structure your
life, or commanding more respect from your nearest and dearest. But on
the other hand, it can translate into delays, limitations
and sheer hard graft and effort.
Whichever way it works out, Saturn is here to stay in this
sector of your chart for the the next two and a half years,
so the sooner you get used to him, the better.
Saturn is known as the Hard Taskmaster and, when he inhabits
a house, there are going to be no short-cuts taken - bad
news for those Gemini's who like to
play fast and loose! However, work with him, and you could
come out of this period more mature, much wiser and with
some substantial results to show for your efforts. On the plus
side, you can be sure that during the course of this period,
your life will become much simpler and your plans more realistic,
making you better equipped to make important lifestyle changes that last, as well as more able to handle the
responsibility that comes with making significant decisions
about your future. Powerful stuff!
