Just as the moon had a monthly waxing and waning phases, so in the minds of the ancients, did the Sun.²  Rather like the waning of the Moon, the Sun's influence is now moving from the external world to that of the internal one, and thus it's affect is likely to be more subtle and introverted between now and next Spring.
