This Autumn, Pisceans may be in store for a spot of
reinvention. Thanks to a a set of eclipses in Pisces and
Virgo, more than a few changes to the way you conduct
yourself and your relationships could be in store during
August and September.
Eclipses ten to occur in 'families' and fall in similar
signs for a couple of years, with the sun and moon reversing
zodiac placings every 6 months. In March-April 2007, we had
two eclipses, also in Pisces-Virgo, expect that the Sun then
fell in Pisces, whereas now, the Moon does - do you see what
I mean?
What this usually signifies is a sort of balancing out of
energies so that whatever was emphasised last time will now
be approached from an opposite but complementary
perspective. For instance, last time the lunar eclipse took
place in Virgo, highlighting close relationships, open
enemies and business partnerships. This may have been an
emotional time when relationships began to disintegrate or
alter radically. This time, the Moon will be in Pisces at
eclipse time, so an affective emphasis will be placed on
yourself - your health, appearance, future goals and
how you choose to act in the world. The Moon will be full at
this time, signifying an ending or culmination of some kind.
It could be that you decide to reinvent yourself in some way
now, possibly deciding to embarck on an exercise regime that
transforms your figure or book an appointment with a medical
professional or herbalist to finally sort out a nagging
health issue. What is for sure is that over the last half
year or so, you have been growing in confidence and
developing a more resilient way of coping in the world which
can only benefit a sensitive Piscean with boundary issues.
It may be that you have slowly been learning to say no to
people, especially those that drain your energy or try to
control you. Thanks to two Saturn-Neptune oppositions this
year, you may also have been battling depression or a
lingering disease.
Now, thankfully, you can begin to take back control and put
this chapter behind you and take back the reigns in terms of
health, self-confidence and life direction. Of course, as
with most attempts to behave differently, there is often
opposition from others, especially loved ones. This eclipse
may mark change, but the ride will definitely be a little
bumpy. First of all, the Sun and Moon will be in opposition
to each other, meaning a conflict of sorts, between your
heart and emotional needs on one hand, and your need for
action, achievement and recognition, on the other. This
dilemma could also be embodied by two people. The sun will
be in the relationship sector of your chart, so a male
business partner or spouse could be signified, whilst the
Moon rules females and family, so it could be a female
relative or parent who reflects back to you what is
currently in your heart at this time. You are likely to feel
especially sensitive around about now, both emotionally and
physically, so do take care of your health and take some
extra precautions to protect yourself from outside
influence. You may also be more intuitive than normal and
your levels of empathy and sympathy for others will be
especially acute.
To add to the mix, there will be a Saturn-Moon opposition
just prior to the eclipse, which could mean that this
strong, possibly male figure is a bit harsh, petty,
critical, dogmatic or patronising with you, which could be
demoralising or infuriating, depending on your emotional
style. Saturn in opposition to the Moon may indicate a
separation, or sense of oppression and responsibility with
regard to a relationship, so it could well be that around
the 28th of August, you may consider detaching or breaking
away from this person whom you feel may be suffocating you
or holding you back in some way.
However, this might prove to be a counter-productive thing
to do - very often the people who make us grow in life are
the ones who are not afraid to tell us the truth, even if
this involves being a bit harsh. With Saturn orbiting close
to the sun, ruler of what makes you shine in life, you might
want to mull over what they have to say because it could be
in your best interests, especially with regard to
self-discipline, organisation and attaining future goals.
One thing is for sure - there is likely to be a lot of
communication static and emotional tension during this
period, thanks to some difficult configurations between the
Moon, Mars and Jupiter, as well as a Mercury-Uranus
opposition. The latter may lead to differences of opinion or
make discussions and presentations somewhat unpredictable.
The Moon-Mars and Moon-Jupiter squares might result in
emotional confrontations or attempts to assert your
independence. However, try not to go overboard in this
regard because, in trying to prove your point, you may well
shoot yourself in the foot or overreact and do something
rash which could result in accidents or fights.
Virgo-Pisces eclipses also often involve an aspect of health
and well-being, both physical and spiritual, so it also
possible that you may choose to focus on healing yourself in
some vital way at this time. This may mean letting go of
certain ways of behaving or of getting rid of toxic people
in your life. All in all, its a good time to be assertive
about your values and needs, as well as ascertaining what
you really want out of life and how to achieve it. Whatever
happens on the 28th, try to wait until after the solar
eclipse before making any final decisions as you could find
yourself having a change of heart.
In the interim, there are a few important planetary events
which could have a bearing on how events play out. The first
is the return to direct motion of Venus, planet of love,
creativity and money. Venus has been retrograde since early
August and this may have led you to review past
relationships or analyse present ones. It may also have made
you think seriously about your values in relation work or
health issues and whether you were happy with the status quo
in this area of your life. From the 8th of September, Venus
will resume a forward direction, returning money matters to
normal and allowing you to consider how you would like to
proceed in connection with those matters I mentioned
earlier.
A day later, Pluto, planetoid of transformation and
regeneration, also turns direct after nearly six months of
moving backward. This will give you the green light to make
changes to your lifestyle, home or family set-up - something
which may have been on your mind for quite some time.
A few days later, during a new moon in Virgo, the second
eclipse of the season will take place. This time, both the
sun and moon will inhabit the relationship sector of your
chart, so it is likely that both your heart and head will be
on the same page and you will feel more ready and able to
make some important decisions on this front. This is a good
time to rid yourself of dead wood in your life as the New
Moon represents a good time to begin a new cycle. This may
translate into the severing of ties with a business
partner or significant other or it could signal the
beginning of a period of readjustment when you may demand
that things improve or that others conduct themselves
differently. The truth is, that after 6 months of
self-improvement, you may now be the one who acts
differently - you may be more confident and have more
self-respect than you did back in spring and will not accept
the same sort of treatment from your one-to-one
relationships as you might have done in the past.
During this spell, you may encounter new people that might
end up playing an important role in your life. New
relationships may also begin now, or a potential business
partner may enter your life with whom you may later form a
close collaboration.
Once again, things will not be plain sailing. The Moon will
be in opposition to Uranus and square to Mars, so you could
well choose to forcibly assert your independence, be
unusually insensitive to others or behave somewhat
impulsively in a way which seems out of character to those
around you. Snap decisions, erratic moods and unusual
behaviour are all par for the course right now. If anyone
tries to take an aggressive stance with you at this time,
they are in for a rude shock - you are likely to take an
unpredictable or rebellious stand and so something which
shocks them into realising that you won't be taken for a
fool. As you can see, this is not likely to be the most
stable of times...
If, for any reason, you need to revisit or reiterate future
plans with loved ones, your best day to do so would be the
13th, when the Moon and Mercury both form congenial angles
with Jupiter, planet of growth, adventure and expansion, so
it is likely that things will go your way at this time. Both
the Moon and Mercury will be in the charming and fair-minded
sign of Libra, so talks with loved ones should be civilised
and easy-going. The following day, the 14th of September
also looks pretty good for Pisceans, given a very favourable
aspect between the Moon and Neptune. The Moon also makes two
positive alignments with Mars and Pluto and will be moving
into your 7th house of close relationships later that same
day, so things look very positive for making or explaining
changes in a constructive way with your nearest and dearest.
Another good day for Pisceans is the 27th of September.
The Moon and Neptune, ruler of Pisces, will again meet in
friendly aspect so money, domestic and emotional matters
should go smoothly. The Moon and Jupiter also link in a
mutually auspicious angle, bringing you luck and benevolent
outcomes in relation to property transactions and family
affairs.
So, overall, Pisces, this Autumn may be a dramatic one but,
provided you don't decide to go into denial, you should come
out of it feeling you more authentic and honest in terms of
your relationships, which, in turn, should mean less stress
and guilt for you and the beginning of a new way of relating
to others. Not a bad result, even if it comes with a little
effort. The choice is yours as to whether you choose to
compromise or walk away, but in the end, whatever you
decide, the eclipses will help you make a clean sweep of
things.
