SEPTEMBER 2007 HOROSCOPES

Your Autumn 2007 stars...

Taureans may start this period feeling a little out of sorts, or possibly a bit more subdued than usual, thanks to a period of retrograde motion by their ruler, Venus. However, the good thing about any retrograde period is that it gives one the chance to go back and sort out unfinished business from the past  - in this case, relationships, particularly family ones.  If you do wish to try and rekindle a romance that you think died a premature death, you'll get a chance to do so next month when Venus moves into your 5th house of love affairs.

Interestingly, the emotional past is also a theme during the solar eclipse  on the 11th of September as a result of a conjunction between the Sun and Moon on the south node of the ecliptic. The eclipse occurs during a new Moon and in the sign of Virgo, so this may well kick-start a series of events that  lead you back into relationship with a child or former lover with whom you have either fallen out or lost contact. You may need to do a fair amount of work to get this person back, but the appreciation and attention you get from this person may just prove to be worth it.

There are several other ways it could pan out, including a return to an old sport or hobby. However, before we get into this, we need to backtrack to the end of August - the 28th to be exact - and the Full Moon lunar eclipse that preceeds the solar one. At this time, a friendship may become the focus of your attention. If you are female, then a male lover or child may insist that you are spending too much time with friends and neglecting them, which will require a balancing out of the time and energy that you devote to these two conflicting but important elements of your life. Another possibility is that you have a falling out or emotional disagreement with one mate in particular, possibly about a lover. A difficult aspect between Mercury and Uranus in Virgo and Pisces indicates that there could be explosive words between you. A friend or fellow club or society member may disapprove of your new lover or the way you conduct yourself with children and blurts it out in a sudden and rather shocking or abrupt manner. Mars and Jupiter are also at loggerheads, suggesting that another scenario may have something to with making promises that one can't keep - promising too much or over-extending onesself in a way which is unrealistic. This may lead to ill feeling on your part (or their part if you have been the one boasting or making empty promises, though, given your earthy and reliable nature, I very much doubt this is the case) and a temporary parting of the ways.

Full Moons do tend to heighten the emotions, as do eclipses, so try to bear this in mind before doing anything rash - you may live to regret it in the morning...If you do want to make up to someone post-eclipse, aim to do so after the 8th when Venus turns direct. Another good day to kiss and make up is the 13th when Mercury and Jupiter meet in a friendly 60 degree angle to each other. Mercury will be in the sign of Libra, co-ruled by Venus along with your own sign, so there is every possibility that fairness, charm and justice will reign supreme in your conversations with others on this day.

Of course it may not be friends that are tearing you from the arms of a loved one but a creative project. If you have begun to be consumed by an artistic endeavour, spending every waking moment on it and leading unsociable hours, then you may need to rethink your schedule and feed your heart as well as your soul by making time for the special people in your life.

Getting back to the solar eclipse, which activates your fifth house of creativity, natural talents, pursuit of pleasure, hobbies, sports, romance, new relationships & sexual involvements, children, pregnancy & childbirth, the issue of social popularity (or lack thereof) could well rear its ugly head again. As I mentioned earlier, past issue or events are likely to be the focus at this time, so if you have some regrets about the decisions you made at the Full Moon, this is your chance to make a fresh start. However, the Moon will be making two negative aspects to both Mars and Uranus at this time, so expect some noise and static  - all will not be smooth sailing. For one thing, you may find yourself getting irritated if people start nitpicking or being overly critical of you - you're happy to admit your faults but not to take complete responsibility for a situation involving two people. For another, you may find people or your emotions somewhat erratic or unpredictable. Try not to let that sway you too much  - the situation is temporary - the Moon moves pretty quickly so this influence won't last more than a day.

If you can, try to wait until the 12th when the Moon moves into Libra, soothing ruffled feather and putting the world to rights. The bottom line is this, Taurus: no matter what you what like to accomplish, there is no perfect day to do so, when there is no risk involved on some level. My suggestion: play the odds, take calculated risks and take minor hitches in your stride. Your social life could depend on it.
