2010 SUMMER ECLIPSE SPECIAL

What the June-July cardinal event has in store for you...

Hold onto your hat, Taurus – this summer, things could get a little bumpy. As a sign renowned for its love of habit and stability, the upheaval caused by two eclipses and a formation of outer planets in cardinal signs, could come as a shock to the system. Things begin to unfold on June the 26th when a lunar eclipse in Capricorn sets in motion a series of events that are likely to lead to changes or decisions relating to overseas travel, studies, religion, publishing or the law. Although you may feel emotionally ready to go out and explore the wider world, it seems that certain situations appear to be holding you back. These could involve a male sibling, neighbour, community leader, teacher or pupil or indeed, developments relating to personal self expression, such as a writing project. Whatever the circumstances, it would appear that this will be an intensely emotional time - one that is either going to require you to let go of an outmoded habit, or experience the culmination of a situation or project close to your heart. At the time of the eclipse, the Moon will be orbiting close to Pluto, which in turn is making a square to a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Aries. This suggests that, whilst the psychological impetus for change on your part is strong, you may not be capable of seeing the full picture or of taking action at this time, which could lead to restlessness, frustration and a feeling of being cut off from the world. On top of all this, Saturn will be opposing Jupiter-Uranus from the last degrees of Virgo, suggesting that your main obstacle to progress could lie within the details of certain structures or obligations (or lack thereof) relating to work, health, routines, creative expression, children, sports, holidays or hobbies. At this time, anything could change at any moment, meaning that it may be worthwhile having a plan B in place, especially when it comes to writing, teaching or publishing projects. Where possible, put off making any major decisions now, because a few weeks later, a solar eclipse in Cancer on the 11th of July may provide you with new and unexpected opportunities or solutions to nagging dilemmas, as well as possible offers from a local source that could kickstart discussions relating to writing, schools, communities, publishers or siblings, and allowing for more positive outcomes. At this time, the Sun and Moon will not only be more in sync, hinting at possible help from family or close friends, but they will also be making a positive aspect to Mars, indicating a certain decisiveness or physical boost that could give you the impetus to cut through any obstacles in your path. If anyone tries to be heavy-handed with you legally or philosophically, you are also better equipped to deal with them now. Whatever occurs, with Uranus scheduled to retrograde from early July, don’t be surprised if have a change of heart.  On the positive side, though, you may also find yourself reconnecting with a certain idealism or spirituality that you thought you’d lost for good.
